Hot tub for historic ski chalet

Northern Lights Hot Tubs supplied a cedar hot tub for a distinctive ski-in/ski-out chalet nestled in the Belvedere area of Courchevel 1650, France. Originally a 1950s hay store, the chalet has been thoughtfully transformed into a rustic alpine retreat, offering an intimate and secluded experience for guests. The client beautifully integrated the hot tub into a snow-covered deck with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After a long day on the slopes, there’s nothing quite like sinking into the warm, cedar-scented water, letting tired muscles relax while taking in the crisp alpine air and breathtaking scenery.

Ofuro tub as cold plunge

Northern Lights Hot Tubs supplied a Japanese-style cedar ofuro and high-end chiller system for Kravitz Design. The installation was part of a bespoke commission at a private residence in Paris. Kravitz Design is a New York–based creative studio founded by musician and designer Lenny Kravitz, known for its bold, soulful interiors blending global influences with contemporary luxury. Hot tub for fortress rooftop

Northern Lights Hot Tubs delivered a custom cedar hot tub on the rooftop of the historic fortress on Île des Rimains, a privately owned island near Cancale, France. The installation was commissioned by the renowned Belgian design studio Axel Vervoordt for a private client. The remote location and limited access required careful coordination of transport by boat, followed by craning the tub onto the rooftop structure, all while preserving the architectural integrity of the heritage site.

Hot tubs for Mediterranean villa

Northern Lights Hot Tubs delivered several cedar hot tubs for residential projects on the island of Ibiza, Spain. The installations were part of a collaboration with BOX3, a contemporary design studio based in the Balearics, and Romano Arquitectos which specializes in high-end residential projects. The tubs were integrated into architecturally distinctive villas, combining natural materials with modern Mediterranean aesthetics.

Hot tub for hillside cabin

Northern Lights Hot Tubs delivered a cedar hot tub at a secluded hilltop property in Portugal’s Alentejo region. The project was designed by the internationally acclaimed Vincent Van Duysen studio for a prominent Portuguese family. Surrounded by rugged landscapes and natural stillness, the newly built luxury cabin features the hot tub as an integral part of the outdoor experience. The warmth and grain of western red cedar complemented the serene, earthy tones characteristic of Van Duysen’s minimalist aesthetic.

Nestled within a 600-acre private nature reserve overlooking Lake Gale, Balnea integrates its thermal facilities into the surrounding forest landscape. The cedar hot tubs, installed on terraces with panoramic lake views, enhance the spa’s commitment to natural materials and immersive wellness experiences.
