Installing in a wooden hot tub

The Waterway Light kit is designed for a maximum wall thickness of 15 mm. However, wooden hot tubs typically have wall thicknesses of 38–40 mm. In this case, a recess must be created to allow proper installation.

Follow these steps:

  1. Drill a hole using a hole saw with a diameter of 65 mm (2 9/16“).
  2. Use a rebating router bit to create a recessed area around the hole, increasing the diameter to 90 mm.
  3. The depth of the recess should be adjusted so that the remaining wall thickness is between 12–15 mm. This ensures proper fitment and allows the retaining nut to be securely fastened.
