Wood-fired heater (Showroom model)

Bring authentic wood-fired warmth to your hot tub with the Chofu 15 kW wood-fired water heater, designed for external installation and natural thermo-siphon circulation. This system works without a pump or electricity, as warm water naturally rises from the heater and circulates back into the tub. It is a simple, reliable and traditional way to heat your hot tub while staying completely off-grid.

Powerful and efficient heating

With a heating capacity of approximately 15 kW, the Chofu heater can raise the water temperature by around 12°C per hour per 1,000 liters, depending on conditions and the quality of the firewood used. This makes it a powerful and efficient solution for medium to large hot tubs when operated correctly.

Durable stainless steel construction

The stove body and firebox are made from stainless steel, with durable steel doors, ensuring long-term resistance to outdoor conditions. The heater includes a built-in drain and vent system for frost protection. It is important to drain the heater after use, especially during colder periods, to prevent freezing damage.

Installation guidelines

For correct operation, the heater must be installed at least 15 cm lower than the base of the hot tub to allow proper natural circulation. It should be positioned close to the tub, ideally within 50 cm, and placed on a stable hard surface such as wood, brick or concrete. Correct installation height and positioning are essential for safe and efficient performance.

Optimised wood-firing

For optimal heating performance, use very dry firewood, preferably below 10 percent moisture content, cut to approximately 40 to 43 cm and split into smaller pieces. Smaller, frequent refuelling every 20 to 30 minutes ensures efficient burning and faster heat-up times. In colder climates, insulating the exterior of the heater or boxing it in can significantly reduce warm-up time.
